Demidov Acting Technique Six Week Course

This course will comprise 12, three-hour online classes via Zoom – two classes a week – in which participants will develop their artistic instincts, training in the central Demidov principle of Creative Freedom. The intensive nature of the six week course will mean participants will have the opportunity to go deeper into the foundational principles of the Demidov work. Working with Demidov’s foundational etudes, actors will train in Demidov’s unique approach to perceiving organically manifesting character, circumstances and relationships, as well as in the technique of Creative Calm and surrendering to impulse. Over the duration of the course participants will be introduced to Creative Repetition – ‘repeating without repeating’. Actors will learn to trust and give in to their creative instincts, and develop the ability to enter a sustainable creative state, enabling them to access the richness of their inner life.
